Strengthening Board and Cabinet Leadership.
Drawing on 30 years of experience as a senior leader in higher education, I design and facilitate retreats, work with Board members and senior teams, support the development of strategic plans, and evaluate systems and policies to align with the vision and goals of the institution.
Facilitating Leadership Transitions.
I work with Boards, Presidents, Acting and Interim Presidents, and President’s Cabinets to facilitate smooth presidential transitions and to ensure essential projects and issues are managed effectively while preparing the institution for permanent leadership.
Executive Coaching.
Through confidential listening and coaching sessions, I advise on strategic planning, governance, communications, problem solving, and program innovation. I help college and university presidents, board chairs, senior leaders, and policy-makers build on their best qualities to achieve their goals.
Senior Leader Evaluations.
I design and conduct evaluations of presidents and other senior leaders to ensure fair and thorough input from key constituencies, while assuming a formative approach to leadership development.
Collaborations and Partnerships.
Creative new types of collaborations and partnerships are emerging across all of higher education. I have worked with many of these entities, advised others, and established several such partnerships during my own presidency. I work with campuses to explore, design, and evaluate opportunities for new alliances, collaborations, and relationships.
